Food Friday

27 shared thoughts
I've tasted other green tea ice cream before, but this one's the best so far!

That's Macha Ice Cream from Teriyaki Boy (Mall of Asia branch). It is green tea ice cream encircled with tempura flakes. Quite new for me (the tempura flakes added to ice cream)...though of course the tempura flakes could be replaced by cereals, if you want the added crunch that it brings. Personally, I'd rather have cereals. lol. But it was the taste of the ice cream that got me...it did have that "tea" flavor.

I loved it (though my two year old tried spitting it out immediately after I let him taste it; he thought that it would taste just like the ones we have here at home, lol)!

Just look at how I licked the bowl clean...shameless me...I know. ;P

ps. it did taste a lot like green tea, so if you're not into tea you might not like it. :)

i had green tea ice cream in a Japanese resto in Cebu and didn't like it. siguro dahil di ko talaga type ang lasa ng tea.:p

thanks, Lani, Jeanny, and LM
it did taste a lot like green tea; some of the green tea ice cream i tasted were just mostly sweetish, and not tea-like. if you're not into tea you might not like this, lol.

@ LM
Arce Dairy's got atis ice cream, I think. I believe I tasted one a couple of years ago... :)

happy weekend!

I honestly haven't tried anything green tea-flavored, even yogurt. Well, except for beverages, of course. I'm not a big fan, but I know, I should try it before I even decide to hate it, right? Hehehe.

Glad we're able to play in Food Friday again this week. Been really busy. Will be visiting later. First, I gotta sleep! *LOL*

Another new food for me...di makakain sa Teriyaki Boy ang family namin, kasi an officemate told mom their foods didn't taste good, so parang ayaw na niya i-try. Hopefully, we (or I) can still try it.

It looks so yummy just like my favorite ice cream but when I read about the reaction of your kid I think I have second thoughts hahaha!

Anyway if I happen to eat there I'll order it with cereals because I'm not much into japanese food. I like trying out meals and desserts malay mo baka maging favorite ko pa :-D

@ G
sige, will check them out. :)

@ Race
naku, di ko alam if they add cereals (if i was given a choice i'd opt for the cereals, though), but i guess if they don't then you can tell them to omit the tempura flakes. ;)
