Dreaming of Traveling ...

0 shared thoughts
I have always dreamed of traveling abroad, and one of the places where I hope I will be able to visit is France. Just seeing the Eiffel Tower from afar would be great! I learned from a friend who went there that tourists waiting to go up the tower are plenty, and it could take hours before you can go up! When I asked her about accommodations, she said that the France Hotels, specifically the Paris Hotels where they stayed, were great! She met up with one of our classmates living there, and they had a blast! I am definitely envious! ;)

She didn't get to stay long, though, since she had to leave for Germany after her one week stay there. She had to return work after that short holiday she had in Paris. Her company chooses which Berlin Hotels she would be staying, from a list of Germany Hotels that was given to them by a travel agency.
I have always asked her how she feels about traveling from one place to another, like never setting foot anywhere. She replied with a happy smile, "This is my dream!"

Honestly, I may really be so happy for her, but I'm glad I'm not in her shoes! I don't think I'd last long in that kind of job. LOL. :)

Hubby's Friend

0 shared thoughts
Hubby's high school friend migrated to England two years ago, and two months after their papers got approved, his wife and child followed him there. They have been inviting us over for visit, but international travel is costly, so we still need to save some more before we get to visit them. Hubby's friend continued to tell about their experiences there, and he said that the first time he arrived he was lucky enough to have found plenty of available
Hotels in London.
When his family arrived, though, they decided to visit other parts of England, and so they experienced staying in Hotels in Manchester as well as a few Hotels in Birmingham.

They found the hotels through CheaperThanHotels.co.uk where they found some great deals, he said. After all the travelling that they've done for the past few months, he said that it's about time they seriously think about getting a house of their own.

After that, I know they'll go travelling again! :)

Great Deals on HDTV

Christmas is getting nearer, and I still have to complete my gift list. It's a good thing I already know what my son wants, though I really have no idea what hubby wants. I have been thinking about those HDTV products; everytime we pass by the Cyberzone over at some of the malls, we always go inside and see the latest gadgets, including those HDTV sales. It's a good thing I can find great deals on HDTV over at SecondAct.com. You can find the brand that you like, or the price range, or the size of the tv that you want; so easy! I will definitely be visiting them more these days, and keep checking on their Deal of the Day offers; saving some more on those gadgets would really be a great deal!

What about you? Still stumped what to give to somebody who loves gadgets? Check out what SecondAct.com has to offer, and take your pick! :)

Gift Cards Online

0 shared thoughts
It's almost Christmas! Have you already made your gift list? Me, well, not yet. But I plan to start on it before the week ends. I hope that I will be able to give them something which they will really like. I know what my son's wish is going to be, but for hubby, no idea.

What about shopping gift cards? I think that I will be giving gift cards to some of my nieces and nephews. They will then get the items that they want, and I'm sure they'd like that. It's a good thing that Shopping.com has an extensive list of gift cards online; all I have to do is choose the store! Isn't that neat?I still have to think what I need to give for hubby, though. Maybe a gift card, too? :)

Gift Ideas

Have you already started on your Christmas presents list? I haven't, but I will, before the first week of November ends. I already have an idea what I would be giving my son, but still no inkling what hubby wants. But that's not going to be a problem. I will just see what holiday gift ideas I can get at Shopping.com!After browsing their gifts for kids suggestions, I will most probably check out their gifts for him section. Or maybe I'd better look at their gifts for the whole family section! That way, I'd get more ideas what I might be able to give for my hubby; as well as for my parents, nieces, and nephews. Such a cool site!

What about you? Looking for gift ideas suitable this Christmas? Then hop on over to Shopping.com and see what great ideas (and bargains) that might be had over at their site!

You'll enjoy browsing through the items, just like I did, as well as get great ideas for the kind of gifts you know the recipients will love! :)

Off to Adelaide and then to Brisbane

0 shared thoughts
Having lived for almost twenty years in Australia since they migrated, my aunt has been asking my parents if they plan on visiting Australia soon. They haven't seen each other for years now, and I guess my aunt misses them. We used to be neighbors in the province; but not really next door, since they were located a couple of blocks away from us. Every now and then our families visit each other, though, and had gotten a bit close.

My aunt lives in Melbourne, but she likes traveling. So far, she has already been to Adelaide and has visited Adelaide Zoo together with some of her grandchildren. First they had to find Hotels in Adelaide, though, and it's a good thing that Adelaide Hotels were very accommodating since sometimes her grandkids could be difficult to handle. The pictures that they sent were proof enough! They are adorable, though. :)

I know that before the year ends they plan on visiting Brisbane, and that's why they were asking if my parents can make the trip. They are now on the lookout for great deals on Brisbane accomodation, and that's why they want confirmation from my parents.

What a great occasion it would be if there could be a reunion again!

What about you, interested in visiting Australia? Then visit CheaperthanHotels.com.au and see the amazing deals that they have to offer!

Brisbane Trip

0 shared thoughts
Having a cousin and her family living in Australia, my sister decided one time to visit them. Actually, she wanted to have a short vacation after working non-stop for around two years, and since they were both close (they more or less were of the same age bracket), my cousin suggested she visit them abroad. She loved the idea, that she took care of her papers and she was there in less than two months.

While staying there, they visited different parts of Australia. Since her visa was good for a year, they did just that ~ tour the country! I seem to remember distinctly that when she was in Brisbane she visited some sites like Mt. Coot-tha lookout, and the South Bank. They found time to look for great Hotels in Brisbane with good deals, too. They liked their Brisbane Accomodation so much that I know they took lots of shots both inside and outside the hotel, including the staff.

They didn't want to leave, but after visiting the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, they had to go since it was their last day in Brisbane. They both felt sad about leaving, but they were happy since they both had a chance to visit Brisbane.

One thing for sure, I know they won't forget easily their Gold Coast Accomodation! They just had so much fun!

My Friend and France

0 shared thoughts
My classmate who lives in France right now is having the time of her life! It has always been her ambition to live there ever since college, and so when an opportunity came for her to work at an embassy, she grabbed the chance.

She told me that the first time she arrived, she was so excited that she didn't care if she and her other co-worker was going to be placed in separate France hotels, or not. Besides, she said, she was so overwhelmed that she didn't actually care if Paris hotels were great, or not. Yes, she was that excited. She didn't actually get to sleep the night she arrived.
It has been almost ten years since she's been to Paris, and she told me that she had been to almost all the sights around Paris that she can think of: Eiffel Tower at night,The Arc de Triumph, Notre Dame Cathedral, The Louvres, and a whole lot of others! She had after all, the opportunity to travel during those years.
She has been telling me to visit her whenever I get the chance, and she assured me not to worry about where I will be staying; if I don't like her place, she said jokingly, I can always find nice hotels in Paris!

Life Insurance

2 shared thoughts
It is inevitable: people die. It could be because of old age, sickness, accidents, or maybe because it was just the time to leave. I have witnessed some families wherein it was the breadwinner in the house who died; and usually when that happens the ones left behind are the ones who suffer. I believe that it could have been prevented if only they had life insurance.

Life insurance is something that we should really be serious about, since it can help make sure that your loved ones' financial status won't be disrupted. That reason alone should make you think more seriously about life insurance and how it will benefit you and your family.

So, want to learn more about life insurance and how you might be able to get one? Then check out LifeInsure.com and see how getting a life insurance can help you, not only when you leave your loved ones, but also while you're still with them!

My Aunt and her Travel Abroad

0 shared thoughts
My Aunt had a penpal from Germany before she got married, and after a few years of correspondence, they each decided to visit one another's country. So, after a few months of preparation, the much-awaited day finally arrived.

The plan was that my aunt's penpal friend would visit her first, and then stay here for about a week. Then after that my aunt will accompany her penpal friend to Germany and stay there for two weeks.

Egon (my aunt's penpal) enjoyed her stay at my aunt's place and I remember they went to the beach almost everyday! She thoroughly enjoyed her stay here, she thought that one week wasn't enough; but she missed her sons, so after a week she and my aunt went back to Germany.
I know that they stayed in one of the Hotels in Berlin the first day that they arrived; her friend was too tired to drive to her house, which was around an hour's drive away from the airport, so they decided to try the Hotels in Berlin. They promptly traveled to Egon's house the next day.

My aunt not only got a tour of some of the scenic spots in Germany, but they decided to try and visit Vienna, too! This time, they found out about the Hotels in Vienna through CheaperThanHotels.co.uk (same as HotelsDeutsche.com) while they were looking specifically for Hotels in Vienna through a search engine. They had a blast doing the touring bit, and the pictures that she sent were proof enough for us here at home.

I tell you, my aunt couldn't stop talking about her fabulous trip abroad when she got back! Me, I enjoyed listening to her talk since the way she described it made me feel like I was with her on that trip, too! :)

Visit London

0 shared thoughts
My husband's friend decided to try his luck in London a few years back, and it's a good thing he is lucky there! Initially, he had a hard time adapting to the weather (so different from our tropical weather!) and to his London accomodations, but after a few months he has come to love it. He stayed there for two years and worked as an engineer, then after that he got his family to stay with him there, too. It was one happy family reunion, he told us. He sent us pictures, and it did look like they had a fabulous time! Of course, his children had to adapt to the cold weather, too, but they adapted quickly enough; specially since they were enjoying their stay there, too!

He told us that while his family was quite new to London, they decided to go on trips to learn more about their adopted country. So far, they have already visited some of the Royal Gardens, the HMS Belfast, London Wetland Centre. They even got a London Pass so that they can have free entries and discounts on some theaters and other attractions.

When I asked about London accomodation, he said that they were fairly satisfied with it. He said that he gets his London accomodation deals from CheaperThanHotels.co.uk every time they go on trips. They have always been satisfied, specially with the low deals they've been getting. He really is lucky!
What about you? Going on a trip somewhere? Then visit CheaperThanHotel.co.uk and see what amazing deals they have over at their site! :)

Housewarming Gifts

0 shared thoughts

A cousin from my husband's side just got married last month, and everyone's so happy about the it. They have been going steady for years now, so it was a pleasant surprise when they finally tied the knot. Too bad we couldn't be there to congratulate the newlyweds, but we did visit them last weekend. Unfortunately, they weren't around, so we decided to go back again next weekend. Hopefully, they'd be there by then.

Since we were unable to see them, that means I can buy something for their new house. I am thinking about getting them a personalized door mat, or maybe a home address sign. The idea of getting them house signs is quite tempting. Good thing there's RolandsGifts.com, a site where they have loads of ideas for housewarming presents! Let's go see what other treasure they have! :)

Finding Stuffs ...

If you're quite new with shopping through the internet, and you want to find something for your child (or a gift for someone else's young one), then looking for that "perfect gift" could be a nightmare. There are so many sites that offer many stuffs for kids; from children's car seats, toys, gift certificates, educational books, and clothes (for infants, boys, and girls), to mention just a few. The trick, though, is to get to know the site which offers the kind of gift that you want to give to the child. Good thing there is such a site that can find those hard-to-find (as well as those easy-to-find) items for you!

Shopwiki.com is the site to go to for finding that "perfect gift" for any kid! The site is easy to browse through, and the thumbnail shots of the products are just perfect. As a buyer, I like to see a sample of what it is I am going to pay for with my hard-earned money, so seeing those shots is a big plus for me. But don't just take my word for it: go visit Shopwiki.com, and see for yourself what it is I'm talking about! :)

Visit Spain In Autumn

0 shared thoughts
A former high school classmate of mine have always been fascinated with living abroad, specially in Spain. She had some cousins living there, and sometimes during summer break she, together with her parents, would go there. She would then narrate to me those times they spent staying in some hotels in Madrid and what fun time they had while touring the area. I remember her telling me about the Retiro Gardens in Madrid and how gorgeous it was.

It has been ages since I last saw her, and I'm sure she's now living in Spain; maybe she even has her own family now. It would be great seeing her again!

Good thing there are sites like CheaperThanHotels.co.uk that can help; they can help find hotels in Barcelona (Hoteles en Barcelona), with the best deals available. You will have lots of choices, too! Just check out their site and see for yourself.

Visiting Spain this autumn would really be something; it would be great seeing all those leaves changing colors and feel the crisp cool air! But best of all, I would get to see my former high school pal again!

Auckland, The City Of Sails

0 shared thoughts
It's always a welcome treat to be able to visit new places every now and then. For me it is always a learning experience, specially if the place is so different from mine, like in Auckland.

This coming October 19th till the 21st will be their coastal classic yacht race wherein you will be able to see hundreds of colorful yachts sail through the Waitemata Harbour as they leave for Russell, Bay of Islands, from Davenport.

Auckland accommodation will be put to the test when the visitors start to trickle in. I'm sure there are plenty of Auckland Hotels that can accommodate the large number of tourists that will be arriving, not only for the yacht race, but also for the Waitakere World Junior Badminton Championships 2007; which will take place on October 25th till the 4th of November.

Hotels in Auckland are well-equipped to accommodate the visitors, and to make sure that you get your room, it's much better if you make reservations and deals being offered over at CheaperThanHotels.co.nz. They will help make sure that your stay there will not only be enjoyable, but also something that you will never forget, and treasure all your life!

Visiting Australia

0 shared thoughts

An aunt and her family have migrated to Australia a few years back, and they have been telling us to go and visit them sometimes. Of course, since their place is a bit far from the airport, we need to look around for some cheap hotels in Sydney that are respectable and with good service.

My Aunt told me beforehand that accomodation in Sydney can be expensive, if you don't know where to look. Good thing there's CheaperThanHotels.com.au who can help with finding cheap Sydney hotels.

A friend has been there last year and she said that they went to see some of the famous sites like the Sydney Opera House, Koala Park, and the Royal Botanic Gardens, among others. The way she described their experience made me want to go there, too; even if it's only for a week, or for a weekend!

One of these days we will get to visit my Aunt staying there, and I'm sure it will be an experience we will never forget!

Travel and Blog Site

Like you, I really love to travel (I am assuming that most, if not all, would love to travel when given the chance)! I can just imagine myself going on a safari ride, or just lazing around on a rattan-made chair somewhere in an exotic setting. Dreams, huh?! Traveling for me need not be somewhere really far away, as long as I have my family together on the trip. I think it would be a bit lonely traveling alone.

To do that, what I need would be a travel guide. Good thing there's this site, RealTravel.com, where you look for the place where you want to go and see real people blogging about it! I think that's really a good idea, incorporating a traveling site together with a blogging community, so that potential clients can see what they can really expect on the trip that they plan on choosing. On the site you can compare hotel, flights, cars, and packages, too. So neat and easy to browse through!

The next time my family and I plan on going somewhere that requires a travel guide, you know where I'd first look: RealTravel.com! :)

London Jobs Online

0 shared thoughts
A former high school classmate, who tried working abroad after she graduated college, arrived home last year, and since then we have been keeping in touch, through the internet. She is in the province, while I am here in the city (trying desperately to keep house, lol). She is now on her second course in college (she loves going to school!), but she told me that she still dreams of getting a job abroad again.

Having no child, and her husband taking care of their family business, I think that her uncle (who's in London right now) would be able to help her. He is certainly more knowledgeable when it comes to finding jobs in London since he himself is currently working there. I know also that he mentioned once about London jobs which can be found on GumTree.com.

For now, my friend is enjoying herself being a student again; though she is eagerly waiting when she graduates and then gets to have a job abroad again. I honestly hope that she will get her wish someday.

Shop for Xbox 360 Games

Want to be kept abreast of the latest in Xbox 360 games? I know I would! Even if we don't have any Xbox 360 game console, I find it really satisfying just to be informed of the latest games. A nephew has the Xbox 360 console, while my son has a PS3. Too bad they can't play together (or visit each other's house to play); my nephew and his family live in another country! But when they do get the chance to visit us, they have a great time playing video games. Hopefully when we visit them this year (fingers crossed!) they will have the chance to play together again.

Want to know where I go for the latest games? I visit Shopping.com and see which games are available these days. So far, the most talked about games, Halo 3 and Rainbow Six: Vegas, are now available. Having just known about this, I'm sure my nephew would love to know, too. Unless, of course, if he has already beaten me to it! Which usually happens. :)
