Being a wife for about nine years now (has it been that long already?!), it still never fails to make my heart beat faster every time hubby surprises me with little stuffs. Ramblings

Lately it has been raining here almost daily ...
Don't get me wrong ... i like it when it rains! But not all of the time, of course. I just wish that it will stop when my son goes to school; and then resumes when he gets back (from school). hehehe ... of course that's not going to happen.

I like it when it rains because everything isn't so dusty anymore, for one. The other reason ... well, i think it's great when it rains because the thirsty plants get to drink more than they need ...
and it's not so hot anymore!

Furnitures for my Friend

Having just recently moved to another new house, a friend right now is on the lookout for a contemporary platform bed for herself. She will be needing platform beds for her sons, too (they told her their preference for having big beds for themselves). However, my friend is trying to convince them to have storage beds, instead. I heard all their arguments while I was in the kitchen, preparing myself a drink, and you should hear her sons' reasoning! Well, just imagine what teenagers can give as "viable" reasons! I'm not sure what the final verdict is going to be, but knowing my friend, they will find all sort it out.

I'm glad that Paypal is now finally not just "send" here! I honestly believe that having the "send" feature isn't really that good for the country's economy ... all the money is leaving the country! But, I could be wrong. I am no economist, admittedly, so most probably they have a reason why it was so.

Now we can also "receive" and "withdraw" money from our paypal accounts! It still isn't really the "best", since after reading the instructions on how to withdraw the money ... we can only transfer the amount to our credit, debit, or prepaid accounts. Or transfer to a US based bank account. (Found out it's the same with Malaysia.) Hopefully, after some time we will be able to withdraw the money and transfer it to a local account. That would really be great!

But for now, we have to be satisfied with this great improvement ... and believe me, I am ecstatic about this (obviously)! :)

Feel It ...

Don't you just love it when romance is in the air and you know that you're in the thick of it? You can just feel your blood rushing and the excitement and expectation of something really wonderful to happen! However, that isn't always the case. So sorry to burst your bubble, but sometimes bad things happen, too.

Soccer time ...

Our son fell in love with playing soccer when he befriended a batchmate and an upper grader that was a member of his school's team. Nope, he is not a member at their school team, since their practice field is quite far from the house and his school bus can't take him there. I guess more or less that's my principle lately, too ... I know my mother will be horrified, she being so meticulous when it comes to cleanliness. The dust around here is amazing ... they stick! Or maybe I just need to really dust them off more than the usual ... like every other day? hehehe.

Obviously, I don't like dusting ... and sweeping ... and (yeah, the list could go on and on). But that's life .. so take it, or leave it, huh?!

Are you like me who has this habit of browsing through the internet looking for other blogs to read? I recently found out about Karl's blog, a blog written by writer and entrepreneur, Karl Moore.

Karl's blog is a place where he posts inspirational messages and trust me, they are worth the time and the read. I really liked his September 18th post, "They're Just Words", wherein he tells about this book that he read a year ago, by lawyer Gerry Spence. The words that really got me at that post was this: "Arguing with someone close to you isn't about winning. It's about restoring that emotional balance." How so true!

He also posts "Random Acts of Kindness" on Mondays and on Fridays he posts "Friday Factoid". If you want to look for some interesting reads on the internet, do visit his blog. I tell you, it is worth the visit! :)
