Want to be kept abreast of the latest in Xbox 360 games? I know I would! Even if we don't have any Xbox 360 game console, I find it really satisfying just to be informed of the latest games. A nephew has the Xbox 360 console, while my son has a PS3. Too bad they can't play together (or visit each other's house to play); my nephew and his family live in another country! But when they do get the chance to visit us, they have a great time playing video games. Hopefully when we visit them this year (fingers crossed!) they will have the chance to play together again.
Want to know where I go for the latest games? I visit Shopping.com and see which games are available these days. So far, the most talked about games, Halo 3 and Rainbow Six: Vegas, are now available. Having just known about this, I'm sure my nephew would love to know, too. Unless, of course, if he has already beaten me to it! Which usually happens. :)
Hubby and I bought a house and lot a couple of years ago, and we were financing it through a government agency. The payment per month was really low and affordable, but we weren't so sold to the idea of paying it for 25 years! We tried computing how much we need to pay so that we will be finished at half the time they were allotting us, but I just didn't know how! Hubby tried explaining to me, but the numbers all seemed to be in jumbles.

Know what we did to help us with our "problem"? My Father helped us out; he paid the mortgage for us! Of course, right now we're still paying him the amount, but this time no more interest! :)

Last cloudy weekend we woke up to a very noisy bird outside our window (actually, not directly outside our window); it seemed to be scolding someone!
Then I saw this shrike; it apparently seemed to be calling/warning another bird.
Maybe a sparrow; we have lots of those! This shrike is almost always around, but there are only a few of them here.

When I was younger (that felt like eons ago! lol), Halloween was not really that popular, though we certainly read about it or watched it on television. It was a completely foreign concept for us kids, but one that we found interesting and entertaining at the same time. We certainly couldn't imagine ourselves parading across the street wearing scary costumes! However, through the years it has caught on; though mostly only in highly urbanized areas. Nowadays it is quite common here in the city to be seeing not only kids, but also adults, wearing costumes during Halloween. It all looks so fun! My son has expressed his wish to wear a Halloween costume this year, but I have no idea yet what he wants.After searching through the internet for Halloween Costumes for kids, I found out about these NFL uniform sets that can also be made as a Halloween costume. I really like the idea of using these uniform sets since it is a far cry from the plastic (and uncomfortable) masks and long gowns that they could trip over.
