Had these a couple of weekends ago...bibingka. It tasted ok. Nothing spectacular, but it wasn't a downer either. It was relatively cheap...i think it was around Php25 per piece. I would probably buy a couple or so again. Got three to take home and had that together with coffee. :)

I got to taste this once, and I agree, it tasted okay, but something's missing - the smokey flavor from cooking it using charcoals. :)
Thanks for linking up to Weekend Eating. Have a great week ahead.
thanks, Jenn
...yup, i guess that was what was probably lacking - smokey flavor. it had that commercialized taste (almost like a pancake, lol), but it was fine. for me. i also liked the copious amount of margarine the serving lady placed into my babingka. ^_^
thanks for the visit and for hosting, Jenn!
happy start of the week, too! <3
Ay sarap namang meryenda nyan! Kagutom! ;)

Thanks for visiting.

salamat, She

...it's another variation for our numerous rice cakes. it's usually served as a snack. :)
...appreciate much your visiting back! ^_^
thanks, Yue
...kung ako lang, ayoko may itolog na maalat, hehehe...pero gusto ko maraming niyog at butter/margarine! :D
thanks for dropping by, ladies!<3
hmmm... kakamiss kumain nyan!
thanks Maantaj
...share tayo! :)
I bought bibingkinitan last week pero yung maliliit lang sya.
...salamat ulit! :)
i prefer the one made from malagkit than galapong...
hi, pinkc00kies
...isn't galapong also made from malagkit? we used to bring our malagkit rice over at my mother's friend who grinds them, which we then use to cook different kakanins. but i could be wrong, of course. i was still little then. lol. :D
...thanks for dropping by! :)
