Food Friday

Would you believe that for this noodle dish to taste really great you'd have to add vinegar? Yup. Vinegar. We were baffled at first, but it really tasted way better after vinegar was added.

That's Pancit Lucban (or Habhab) from Buddy's Pancit Lucban at Longganisang Lucban restaurant.

ps. should have done this EONS ago: adding a backlink to those who played as my way of saying thanks for linking back. :)

*I don't think my other blog will be 'operational' real soon...and I don't think I have the time to make another blog, so Food Friday is here to stay. For now. I think. Many many thanks to those who have kept on playing! :)

Waaahhh I love pansit. Parang gusto ko yan matikman. But, I think I've tried pansit cooked that way, I mean with vinegar, 'cause one of my aunts love to try out pansit cooked in different ways.

The last time I had pansit was in October last year kaya mag-request ako this weekend. :((

Yes, pancit habhab has vinegar. I used to eat that ng maliliit pa kami in Lucena City. Same thing with Italian Pasta, mostly they added lemon or lime juice to make the taste better. Happy Friday!

...love your grilled fish! nagutom jud ko, da! hehehe. adding salt to rice sounds good. i sometimes add salt to my calamansi, specially if i drink it straight without water...mas masarap. but am not sure if it's healthier, LOL. probably not. :P

thanks, LM
...i agree, it kinda grows on you once you try it. i still have to try their longganisa...i bet it will taste great with vinegar, too! ;)

My mom cooks pancit habhab every time we would get packs of the raw pancit from our neighbor, but we still haven't tried adding vinegar to it. Hmmm... interesting!

Really? I tasted Pancit Habhab in Pasig and it's good but we never added vinegar in that pancit if I remember right :D That one from Lucban is really good according to my cousin's wife who also live in Quezon.

our neighbor always give us dries noodles for this, and you are right, vinegar is better than calamansi, probably because of the noddles' taste

heres my entry
