I was asking for Letty's Buko Pie when hubby went to Laguna, but I found this inside our refrigerator instead! No idea what it's called (it's a cake, of course, lol), but the maker (Cake2Go) is familiar since we pass through one of their stores whenever we drive through Timog Avenue. The cake is quite rich and fulfilling. I love the fact that they didn't scrimp on this one; the choco dusting was quite thick and the chocolate cake inside wasn't too sweet. The nuts on the side was a nice touch, too. :)
But I still have no idea what they call this cake. Hubby's still away. :P

Honestly, I had a hard time trying to achieve that effect (faded/blurry background with only one subject focused sharply), using the lens (canon 18-200mm IS) that I have right now on the dslr. I had to squint and re-focus a lot since it was difficult, plus the fact that we were in a hurry and the wind was getting to be a nuisance. Well, I believe that the lens weren't supposed to be used that way, really. lol.
Still, it is fun to experiment and see how far your gadgets can go! Would you believe I only managed to get one decent shot and this was it? LOL. If I continue doing that I know I'll be needing those eye wrinkle cream sooner than I expected! ;P

I normally don't drink any vitamins and now I regret not doing anything about it. Well, I am starting to take this certain vitamin that's supposed to be good, and considered to be one of the vitamins for women. It has a significant amount of iron in it (which I think I badly need!), as well as other vitamins and minerals. I take one each day, and it costs around Php16.20; relatively cheap compared to getting hospitalized, don't you think so?
Am not so sure if I need other supplements; I just got fed up with my ob-gyne who used to advice me on what vitamins to take, when her assistant called me up at home one time to tell me that my insurance company hasn't paid them yet. I mean, it wasn't my problem! Oh well. I stopped seeing her after that. LOL

There are nights when I just don't have enough sleep. Well, come to think of it, there are LOTS of nights when I feel like I haven't slept at all! That's why I have these horribly tired looking eyes most of the time. I guess it's time to go looking around for the best eye cream out there? Hehe. I have no idea what my friends (or friends of my friends) use (or if they use any at all), but at my age it isn't a bad thing to be getting help from good sources. Besides, aren't we all supposed to age gracefully? ;)
Easier said than done, I know.

Snack at Pizza Hut, two afternoons ago. That's their dessert sampler, with their choco lava cake (it tasted dry and overcooked; i was terribly disappointed), mud pie sundae (it was so-so), and mango panna cotta (the only one which i liked, lol).

First time my son and I ate this, last week. That's Mango Bravo from Conti's. Actually, I think it tasted great, but I couldn't really say since my son ate most of it. LOL.
We passed by Solenad on Nuvali on our way to my MIL's house and decided to bring her something from Conti's... we bought her their bananalicious pie and i must say I loved it! Really yummy when eaten straight from the freezer. :)

We went here last week, on our way to visit MIL. Here, meaning at Solenad in Nuvali (which is located in Sta. Rosa, Laguna, Philippines). That weekend was also going to be Mother's Day, so we decided to pass by and get something for MIL. Guess what we got? Nope, nothing like the best acne treatment out there (her skin is awesome, even at her age!) but we got her a Bananalicious Pie from Conti's instead. After we had our lunch/snack, of course. lol.
We wanted to get her the Mango Bravo, but it was quite tall and we didn't know if it will survive an hour's travel ... I guess next time we will bring them to Conti's instead so that they can choose which cake (or pie!) to eat. :)

I know, one of these days I will be visiting www.bestfatburningsupplement.com just to check out what the latest fat burning supplements are on the market today. I know, there are maybe thousands out there, but for me, if ever I do decide to take weight loss seriously I would want to 'drink' something that will help me out. And that product should be considered safe. It wouldn't help much if I do loose weight so fast but get sick in return, so I want to do some research first.
Now I think that that's being sensible. We are responsible for ourselves, after all. We might be influenced by other persons but we do the action(s) ourselves. No sense blaming others for what you decided you would do. ;P

I guess I should be thankful to my youngest son since it was when I was carrying him that my weight somehow decreased. I don't know why, but I really didn't have much of an appetite when I was pregnant that time. My doctor was concerned and encouraged me to eat more, but I just didn't feel like eating. Nope, I know I wouldn't throw up what I ate, but the need to eat more just wasn't there. I guess that means Lipovox will have to wait a bit longer, lol. Specially now that my (youngest) son is getting to be quite active and most of the time I have to run after him just to make sure he doesn't trip or fall down. lol. :D
The place where we're staying right now isn't exactly the ideal place that we want, and that's why hubby and I are thinking of getting another place on our own. That means we need to evaluate also the furniture that we have right now and definitely discard those that we won't need. I just don't like seeing too many stuffs in a room (which is happening right now, lol). I must admit, I like having modern furniture as well as one or two of those rustic pieces we see along the highway when we visit my MIL. I think I'd like to have koi (or carp), too. Like the shot below, but definitely not that much! ;)
I got life insurance more than a decade ago (gosh, I sound so old! lol) and I am already done with the payments. Many thanks to my mom for helping me! lol. But honestly, I think that the amount then is not really that significant compared to the amount we need right now. I mean, it was a decade ago, so prices (due to inflation, I guess) have changed. But of course, I think that having a bit is much better than having nothing at all.
Don't you think so? ;P

Hubby got his second car (with the option-to-own deal) from the company recently and I think he's loving it. It's nothing really fancy like a sports car, but a vehicle where at least seven persons can sit comfortably (we are a growing family, lol). The auto insurance is still being handled by the company, but we were talking about it just last week about how comprehensive the insurance is; like, will it also cover natural disasters like flood or earthquakes. We are in a place where flooding and earthquakes are quite common, you see.
But of course we really shouldn't worry much since the company is the one that's going to handle that. For now, we are enjoying the benefits that he's been given and we are mighty thankful. :)

I forgot the name of the restaurant (it was the first time we ate there), but the shot above was what we had for lunch. I wanted to try something 'different' that day, so instead of going to the Japanese restaurant that my son frequented, we chose a Vietnamese restaurant instead. It was ok, but not "to die for". LOL

My youngest son is now a year and eight months old, and boy is he growing up fast! Well, I guess that that's typical of babies his age. That's why when I choose baby clothes I pick out those that is slightly bigger than his current size. If I don't, then some of the clothes (that I will be buying) he wouldn't get to wear at all!
I almost always buy clothes that are on sale, too. I mean, honestly I don't see the point of buying casual clothes that are so expensive; but that's different for formal wear, of course. :D

Back when I was in college there were nights when I thought that I'd be needing one of those sleep aid pills just so I'd have a good night's rest. I used to stay up late (well, like I do now, lol) and still feel all revved up even if it was already way past midnight. Blame it all on youth, I guess. lol. But now that I am older I can fall asleep so fast sometimes it surprises me. I guess I just feel bone-tired sometimes I never notice until I put my head on my pillow.
Rest, that's what I need. And lots of time. For myself. :D

My family and I went here a few weekends ago (Enchanted Kingdom) .... we had lots of fun! Too bad we couldn't stay long for the fireworks scheduled that day.
Well, there's always a next time! ;)

I agree, it is a good idea to do some research first before embarking on something; be it buying that gadget you've always wanted, or taking off weight. I read in one of those hydroxycut advanced reviews that sometimes the leading diet pill can also have side effects that could be harmful instead of helpful. Or like the one I read about this phonecam that seems so high-tech but have software issues. It helps to read/ask around, and do research on your own; that way you wouldn't have anyone to blame but yourself! :P
After I gave birth to our youngest son some of my friends commented that I looked thinner than ever before; but I never really paid much attention to it, until I noticed that my pants seemed to be getting bigger. lol. But today's a different story, since I noticed that my pants seemed to fit me 'right' again. Meaning, my need for one of those ephedra diet pills might come sooner than expected! :D
Honestly, I haven't tried any of those diet pills since I am a bit apprehensive about what my reaction might be (to the chemical); and if ever I will try one of those pills I need to have a chat with my doctor first (since I am still breastfeeding). Better be safe than sorry! :)

When I was young we used to have a comic lying here and there around the house. I guess you can't help it with nine children running around the house! What struck me then (even at a young age) was that those comic books had advertisements about body building, including body building supplements. I don't know if they were safe, or not, but they seemed to promise you a bigger body so that you won't get bullied anymore. The illustrations were quite effective and eye-catching; even for a grade school kid like me! :)
Now our house back then wasn't all that messy, really. In fact, come to think of it ... my house right now is messier and there are only two adults and two kids around! ;P

My family and I have wanted to buy one of those thin/slim televisions for months, but have always kept it off since honestly we don't think it's a necessity these days. However, every time we enter one of those malls located nearby we can't help but look at the different televisions on sale. So far, the ones that stood out for us were Samsung, Toshiba, and Sony; mostly because of the deals that went with the sale.
But, like I said ... we just have to wait a little bit longer; we need to pay for our son's school tuition first. :)
