nope, didn't use any magnifying glass (that's a good idea! lol); just didn't get to water it for three days while we were on a short vacation. :D

I often cut the yellow part off of a damaged leaf, keeping a partial leaf for photosynthesis while the plant recovers a bit. Quite a dramatic photo, really.
