I think that that's a really interesting quote ... and that does says a lot. I wonder if it says the same thing for stage/tv comedians, too? lol.

But don't mind me much, that's just my opinion. ;P
and my ramblings.

Good point, the link between comedy and tragedy has been one considered by some of the best. I always find comedy best served when I am in a down mood. Most of my favorite comedy movies are a little tragic too, if you take the humor out of them.

I believe it. Some of our best comedians have led very troubled lives. Whether it's substance abuse or a bad childhood or even severe depression, great comedians use their faults to their advantage. Often telling jokes or trying to be funny in an attempt to distance themselves from their darker side.

It's quite common and extremely fascinating to see just how many funny people have screwed up lives.
