BAGHEERA (my dog) 1. Her comforting presence 2. Her soulful eyes 3. Her fierce loyalty 4. Her very loud barks 5. Her cold and wet nose 6. Her head tilting in a certain angle when i talk to her 7. Her sleeping form beside my bed 8. The "runs" we used to play together 9. Buying treats for her 10. When I had my son she was also protective of him ... she wouldn't let just anyone come near him; a few times, even the nanny! 11. Giving her baths, which she dreaded (LOL) 12. Touching and hugging her black form 13. Those days when I tried teaching her tricks, but ... I think it was the other way around. :) Thank you all, for dropping by! Oh, no. Do I detect a recent loss here? I'm so sorry about that; it sounds like she was one of those once-in-a-lifetime pets.
That was a beautiful tribute. I just lost my dalmation to stomach cancer. I miss him more than I can say. :(
I'm really sorry about your dog. I remember after I lost "the cat of my life" I was bereaved for months...the only thing that helped (a little) was a distracting new kitten...
She sounds like she was a true friend and family member:(

How awful you must feel ! It always leaves a big empty hole when you loose an animal. I remember how how I felt two years ago when my cat died. It was terrible.
I still have a photo on my desk of a pet I lost many years ago. It's hard to let go when their love is unconditional!!!
