Green Thumb Sunday (#2)

Green Thumb Sunday

That's a yellow hibiscus flower, shot at a university garden.

What I really liked about the flower was that even if the petals were torn (by some insect, most probably, since it was too high up to be done by passer-bys), it still looked beautiful. Well, to me, at least. :)

I love the different colors of this plant type ... red, violet/bluish, white, yellow ... and so many varieties! My sister has planted the violet/bluish variety in her garden, but it didn't seem to be thriving too well. Kind of spindly and the aphids are so attracted to it. Occasionally it blooms, though. :)

Hi, Lovely picture of the Hibiscus, like the way the shadow of the stamen falls on the petal.

Cheers Mark

It is a lovely photo. Even imperfect flowers are beautiful in my view. The detail is fantastic.
