Thursday Challenge: Common

This is commonly used in our food ... that's whole peppercorns with the skins "peeled" off; it's being dried under the sun and after a bit of processing it will be commonly known as "white pepper". :)

This shot was taken when my family and I visited my MIL's place; they have some pepper vines there on their garden that seems to be running wild!

Took this lucky shot around two months ... am not so sure, but I might have posted this before. lol.

Yeah, I must say: that is really a LUCKY shot since I think that the place and time that day was perfect! My point and shoot camera (canon powershot S3 IS) behaved well that day, too! (Ok, it's actually a well-behaved camera; I'm the "delinquent" one.) :)

I hope to be in the same situation again ... :)

The dice is on top of an abaca fan, which is quite common here (the fan, I mean). :)

Thursday Challenge

It's Thursday Challenge again, and the theme for this week is "Black and White".
No prizes or anything ... just for fun and learning! :)

This shot was taken when we visited my FIL's grave; before the All Soul's Day. It is customary to clean the grave site and "stay" there during All Soul's Day. Some even stay overnight, sing songs, offer prayers and flowers, and of course, light a candle.

It was my first time to experience something like that ... it was both sad and happy, at the same time.

Thursday Challenge: Scary

Am not too sure if this looks scary ... is it? :)
Took this shot when we went to a zoo; this python was actually quite tame. Look how near I got! I only did a bit of cropping and contrast, using picasa2.

But that doesn't mean i'd want it hanging on my neck, though. lol.

Thursday Challenge: THANKFUL

I am thankful for the weather these days ...
not too hot, and the occasional showers in between. :)

The other day it rained for a bit then after a few minutes of raining, the sun came up! Kind of weird, but i loved it! I liked the reflection of the sun on some of the puddles ... :)
