Yes, that's really important. To understand more why that situation arose. Sometimes, though, I have the tendency to get into my own conclusions without hearing the other person's views and I must admit: usually it leads me to trouble!
Not the type of trouble that will get you in jail, of course! Heaven forbid! But the type that can disrupt a peaceful, harmonious setting within the family. It's a good thing usually it get's settled, but still ... I guess I could have prevented it.
If only I was willing to hear the other side.
Now I know. :)
