That's the picture of a fruit called Durian (it's already open here)
... even if the husk is still intact, you can smell the unique odor it gives off when it ripens. The fruit above was already ripe.
yeah, you can just imagine the aroma ... lol. ;P

I'm intrigued by durian after this photo hunt. I've never tried it but it looks delicious. I can handle smelly if something is good.

I have no idea how they smell, I've never seen a durian in my life. But I take your word for it. That's a great photo! :)

I was hesitant to try it before but when I did, I was surprised that it tasted nice. I like it served chilled.
