went home to the province a few weeks ago,
and seeing my 2-year old niece "watercolor-painting" the wall is ART enough for me! ;)

how awesome is this. i just want to see this picture blown up, all by itself, with no border. (i think i'm distracted by the boarder... since this is a 'simple' moment.. )i think it's such a great snapshot of the creation process in general.
but in response to everyone saying that your niece is a 'budding artist' is only partially correct. i see her as simply an 'artist.' ... and actually probably more of an artist than people older or with more training. art is about creating what's in your mind and being free to do so. children are the best artists because they don't have the "limits" that we learn more and more as we get older. yea.. a more 'trained' person might sell their artwork for more money... but "art" isn't about how much you sell it for.. it's about the communicating through mediums, whatever you choose.

What a really cute pictures. One of my daughters' favorite things is to sit outside with a bucket of water and a paintbrush and just "paint".

bongga mom: hahaha, she didn't know i was taking her picture. thank heaves for the zoom in my camera! actually, she isn't allowed to "paint" there ... she had her own papers on her table, but she wanted to paint there! she didn't like it one bit when her mom decided to get her away from there ... :D
