Nearer and nearer...

Christmas is definitely getting nearer and nearer! So, have you taken out those unique ornaments for your xmas tree and displayed them? Well, I haven't. LOL. Not yet, anyway. I doubt if I can get to display them since usually we spend our Christmas at my In-law's house in the province. ;P

Honestly, I am excited about the idea of my family being together most of the time...during regular days my older son is at school while hubby is at work (sometimes he even has to be away for a week, specially if he needs to go abroad). So that leaves just me and my youngest son. But don't get me wrong...the house isn't really quiet even with just the two of us! We can be pretty noisy, too...specially if the television is blaring. :D

Sunday with Angie and Tam2

0 shared thoughts
...that's my former classmate Angie, her son Tam2, my two year old Luis (holding my phone, trying to take a picture of his daddy Jojo who was taking this shot, hahaha), half (or is that just one-fourth? hehehe) of my older son Gelo's face, and me.

It was a wonderful day :)

Still Pimply

0 shared thoughts
I have heard and read reviews about the different treatment for acne, both online and offline; in different media (television, radio, internet, friends...etcetera). But somehow, I believe that each person is different, so it follows that not one treatment might be effective for all. It could be a combination. Or not. It's a good thing there are doctors out there who can help.

Now all I have to do is find the time (and the right doctor!) who can help me with my pimple problem... :)

Dance

0 shared thoughts
My two year old loves dancing...i guess that's relatively pretty common for children at that age. It's just that my older son wasn't so much into dancing or singing at that age; he was more into just exploring things quietly.

Both of them are different.

I guess we wouldn't want it any other way... :)

First Job

After I graduated from college some classmates and I decided to accept an offer made by a private company to train (and hopefully hire) us for their cattle farm. We were all pretty excited about it and we didn't know what to expect. As fresh graduates (we just took the board exam, then, and were waiting for the results) we felt that we were ready for anything. Boy, were we ready! lol.

It has been ages since that happened, and I must admit that sometimes our working conditions weren't even decent. We just had to get by and work things out in the field. No fancy womens boots for us ladies...but we really didn't mind. As long as we were together, we were having fun.

Ahhh, those were the days. :)

No strings

Now who wouldn't be glad to get one of these...lol.
As long as there are no strings attached, of course. :D

Pimples...

0 shared thoughts
Do you suffer from an occasional flare up of acne/pimple/zits? I do, even at my age! LOL. Honestly, if someone tells me "zit pop" right now I would be horrified. Well, that's because you aren't really supposed to pop your zits since the resulting scar may be worse than the zit itself! Well, at least that's what I was taught.

I'd like to believe that now we have more products that are affordable, safe, and easy to use on our faces. I am still hesitant about using "new" products since I don't think I like the idea of putting something on my face that's synthetic/unnatural.

I wonder if our former helper's remedy (she used raw calamansi juice on her face when her pimples broke out) would be useful in times like this...lol.

Lugaw, congee, rice porridge ...comfort food for most of us Asians. :)

Nope, I didn't cook that...had that when hubby brought us to this lugawan along Timog Avenue in Quezon City. If I had my way, I wouldn't want it to have such a bright color (in fact, I prefer my lugaw to be white...lol) and with much less 'toppings'.

But in fairness, it tasted quite good. Really. :D

Less...

0 shared thoughts
Almost all of us have got to have a pimple sometime. I know I did...and till now I still get more than my share of the pimples, or acne. Really quite frustrating, since I didn't have them while I was in high school; and just rarely while I was in college. But now that I'm older...they seem to have taken a liking to my face! I know I'll be needing on of those acne scar removal creams one of these days...!! I hope not one of those surgeries!

Or maybe I should just change my eating habits (less fats, less sugars, less carbohydates...less everything! lol), huh?! :D

Green Tea

Am so so happy to be drinking tea again...lol.
It has been ages! :)

Making me happy...

0 shared thoughts
I know I have gained some weight, and it is making me uncomfortable. Well, I don't think I look that fat (yet..maybe just a bit. lol), but I wouldn't want to wait till I need the most effective diet pills 10K around! lol. But honestly, I need to check up on what I eat and drink. I am slowly staying away from fatty foods (oh my..it is HARD!) for now. That means less meat, too. I make sure I eat more veggies and fruits. Plus I am starting to drink tea (decaf!) again.

Now that is making me happy...the drinking of tea, I mean. :D

Good 'Ol Days

Chatted with a couple of my high school classmates a few minutes ago, through facebook. Actually, we started commenting on an old pic posted by a batchmate and things just got off. Well, nothing dramatic, or anything. lol

Ended up exchanging mobile phone numbers. Plans of meeting up. Made me remember those good ol' days....

I bet this (or something similar, lol) would be there when we do get to see each other again! :D

marang
Actually had these last month...loved it!
Have you ever had them (marang)? Tasted it years ago when hubby's work took him to Mindanao; they might look like langka, or breadfruit, but that's where the similarity ends. For me, anyway. When ripe it tastes soooo sweet, and believe me, I can eat the whole fruit myself! hehehe.

Picture-taking Bug

It's no secret in my family that I love taking pictures. lol.
Hubby, too, got bitten by the bug.
And now...
I guess we should have expected this... :)

Silly me...

0 shared thoughts
Most of the time I am intrigued when I see numbers and letters together...I try to make up stuffs about what it means. Silly, huh? It's something that passes the time (which I don't have much of these days, sad to say) which I find amusing. Take for example this one: 108r00727. What do you think it means? I just had to look it up in the internet and I found out that it has something to do with xerox! I wouldn't have guessed it. lol

I wonder what other 'silly' things I could think of to pass the time when I get bored. ;)

This was the first time that I tried McDonald's (McCafe) blueberry cheesecake. Sad to say, I wasn't impressed. It wasn't that bad, though. I think I could even get to like it. :)

Without a doubt my family and I love pizza!!! Even Luis (our youngest who just turned two last month) loves it (the shot was taken by hubby).

What we absolutely love about Brooklyn Pizza is that you can customize your pizza..and in our case we chose to order half deluxe and the other half  topped with cheese. Of course, with extra toppings of cheese and bacon. It was the first time we ordered their deluxe pizza. Usually it's half with vegetarian toppings and the other half just cheese.

Honestly, for me I still prefer their vegetarian pizza. With the extra toppings of cheese and bacon, of course. :D
